Honors Program & Stan State Scholars
The Honors Program Living Learning Community is for students active with the University Honors Program enrolled in one of several designed Honors courses and living on campus. The Stan State Scholars community is an intellectually-driven community filled with students who are hoping to achieve scholarly success or enter the Honors program during their time at Stanislaus State.
If you like to be challenged academically and wish to develop lifelong learning skills and connections, then either of these communities would be a great fit for you.
The community is a collaboration between Stan State Student Housing and the University Honors Program and offers an engaging, intellectually challenging and fun living-learning environment. Residents of this community practice service-based experiential learning and will develop important skills to complement their intellectual endeavors.
In order to live in the Honors Program LLC, you must have the following:
- Acceptance to the University Honors Program
- Enrollment in one of the designated honors courses
- Completion of a housing application
As a member of the Honors LLC, you will enroll in courses with your roommates and neighbors and enjoy programming linked to course content. Since your RA and PAL are also part of the University Honors Program, they'll be there to guide you and give you great advice on how to succeed in your classes.
For more information about the Honors Program, visit the University Honors Program website.
This brand new, academic-focused community is filled with students who are hoping to achieve scholarly success or enter the Honors program during their time at Stanislaus State. Residents of the Stan State Scholar community like to be challenged academically, either by an academically rigorous major or participating in the University Honors Program, and wish to develop lifelong learning skills and connections.
Members of Stan State Scholars Community will live with other scholars as well as members of the Honors community. You will enroll in a class together and enjoy programs or workshops supportive of rigorous course content and designed exclusively for your community. Peer Academic Leaders and access to Honors faculty will be there to provide additional academic support during your college journey.
