Summer Housing
Housing hosts a variety of summer conferences, athletic campus, and performs routine maintenance on all units throughout the course of the summer. As a result, space for summer housing is limited and the priority application deadline is April 11 - May 5, 2025.
In order to have a complete summer application, applicants must complete the following:
- Fill out the online application in the Housing Portal
- Pay the $25 non-refundable application fee
- Have a $0 balance for the previous term's housing charges (if a returning student)
Room placement for summer housing is determined by the date an applicant's summer application is processed as complete and is NOT guaranteed. Applicants will be added to a waitlist if they apply after all available spaces have been filled.
Summer Housing Rates & Fees
All applicants are charged a $25.00 non-refundable application fee. This fee is part of the application process and must be paid in order for an application to be considered complete.

The following dates fall outside of the Summer contract:
- May 24, 2025 – June 2, 2025
- August 12, 2025 – August 15, 2025
Applicants with a Spring 2025 and/or Fall 2025 booking will automatically be billed to "bridge" their housing contracts for the amounts listed above. Incoming residents (not living on campus for Spring) will not be charged to bridged Spring to Summer and will receive separate instructions about their move-in day.
After your charges post to your Student Account, you have until the Balance Due Date to pay them in full. Reference the table below for details on when charges are posted and due.

Your summer charges consist of room rent, a non-refundable application fee, and charges that bridge your housing contracts. Since the Spring, Summer, and Academic Year Housing contracts do not overlap, there are a certain number of "bridge dates" that residents must pay for if they plan to stay on campus during those dates. If you plan to move out between contracts (e.g the 9 uncontracted days between spring term and summer term), you must contact the Housing Office.
- Spring to Summer Bridge (Spring Term residents only): 9 uncontracted days between Spring and Summer contracts
- Summer Application Fee: Non-refundable $25 application fee
- June Rent: Rent for June 2 - June 30
- July and August Rent: Rent for July 1 - August 12
- Summer to Fall Bridge (for residents continuing to fall semester): 3 uncontracted days between Summer and Fall contracts

Applicants can pay online via MyStanState, in-person at the Cashier's Office, or send a check to the Housing Office.

- Login to myStanState
- On your dashboard, click the green Make a Payment button. This will automatically connect you to Cashnet (third party website) for payment
- Click the Make a Payment icon and select Housing
- Click the Checkout button
- Select method of payment
- Complete your payment & Checkout
PAYMENT INFORMATION: Pay with your checking account on-line with no additional charge. Pay with Credit Card - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card (additional 2.63% processing fee).
Pay in Person
Please see the Cashier's Department in MSR 100 and provide your student ID number to the cashier and the reason for payment (Summer Housing Fee).
Pay by Mail
Please mail a check to the following address below. On the check, on the memo line remember to put your ID number and "Summer Housing Fee." Checks should be made to Stanislaus State.

New Residents (not currently living on campus)...
- Will receive email instructions about their move-in day and the move-in process.
- Who do not move within 3 days of Move-In Day will be considered a no-show and their summer application will be administratively cancelled and subject to cancellation fees, per the Housing License Agreement.
Spring Residents...
- Will likely have to switch to a new unit shortly after Spring Move-Out Day. Housing will do our best to notify summer residents as soon as possible with their summer room switch timeline. This date will fluctuate based on unit availability.
- Should prepare their spring unit for move out during the first 2 weeks of June, in anticipation of a room switch timeframe within the month of June.
- Will have a 3-day time period to move from their spring unit into their summer unit.
Probably not. Due to summer camps, conferences, and annual maintenance and cleanings, summer room assignments will likely be different from fall room assignments.
