In order to have a complete summer application, applicants must complete the following:
- Fill out the online application in the Housing Portal
- Pay the non-refundable application fee
- Have a $0 balance for the previous term's housing charges (if a returning student)
Room placement for summer housing is determined by the date an applicant's summer application is processed as complete and is not guaranteed. Applicants will be added to a waitlist if they apply after all available spaces have been filled.
Summer Rates & Fees
Applicants with a Spring 2026 and/or Fall 2026 booking will automatically be billed to "bridge" their housing contracts for the amounts listed above. Incoming residents (not living on campus for Spring) will not be charged to bridged Spring to Summer and will receive separate instructions about their move-in day.

After your charges post to your Student Account, you have until the Balance Due Date to pay them in full. Reference the table below for details on when charges are posted and due.
Summer application fee, June rent, and, if applicable, Spring-to-Summer bridge fee:

- Payment Deadline: June 15
July and August rent and, if applicable, Summer-to-Fall bridge fee:
- Posted to MyStanState Student Account: July 9
- Payment Deadline: July 15
Applicants can pay online via MyStanState, in-person at the Cashier's Office, or send a check to the Housing Office.

- On your dashboard, click the green Make a Payment button. This will automatically connect you to Cashnet (third party website) for payment
- Click the Make a Payment icon and select Housing
- Click the Checkout button

PAYMENT INFORMATION: Pay with your checking account on-line with no additional charge. Pay with Credit Card - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card (additional 2.63% processing fee).
Pay in Person
Please see the Cashier's Department in MSR 100 and provide your student ID number to the cashier and the reason for payment (Summer Housing Fee).
Pay by Mail
Please mail a check to the following address below. On the check, on the memo line remember to put your ID number and "Summer Housing Fee." Checks should be made to Stanislaus State.

New Residents (not currently living on campus)...
- Will receive email instructions about their move-in day and the move-in process.
- Who do not move within 3 days of Move-In Day will be considered a no-show and their summer application will be administratively cancelled and subject to cancellation fees, per the Housing License Agreement.
Spring Residents...
- Will likely have to switch to a new unit shortly after Spring Move-Out Day. Housing will do our best to notify summer residents as soon as possible with their summer room switch timeline. This date will fluctuate based on unit availability.
- Should prepare their spring unit for move out during the first 2 weeks of June, in anticipation of a room switch timeframe within the month of June.
- Will have a 3-day time period to move from their spring unit into their summer unit.
Probably not. Due to summer stays, annual maintenance and cleanings, summer room assignments are typically different from fall room assignments.
