Cal State Apply Application Checklist

Applicants are evaluated based on the information provided on the admission application. So complete and accurate information is essential. When you're ready to complete your application, be sure you have these items on hand:

Freshmen:

  • Unofficial transcripts: You’ll be asked to enter all courses you’ve completed, those currently in progress, and any you plan to take
  • Test scores (SAT, ACT, AP or IB)
  • Your Social Security number, if you have one
  • Your and your parent’s Citizenship Status, for tuition purposes
  • Credit card: Application fees are due at time of submission if not eligible for a fee waiver
  • Annual income: Your parents if you are a dependent, your income if you are independent
  • Your parent’s employment background and two recommendations, applies only if you’re applying to EOP

 

Transfers:

  • Unofficial transcripts: You’ll be asked to enter all courses you’ve completed, those currently in progress, and any you plan to take
  • Your Social Security number, if you have one
  • Your Citizenship Status, for tuition purposes
  • Credit card: Application fees are due at time of submission
  • Annual income: Your parents if you are a dependent, your income if you are independent
  • CCCID and Campus ID: Required for ADT applicants from a California community college. These numbers should be printed on your transcript

Please note, Stanislaus State Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) does not have the capacity to accept transfers.

Please note your admissions can be withdrawn for not accurately reporting your performance on the application or if you do not retain eligibility upon submitting final transcripts.

Students who are not registered on the Enrollment Census Date for the term admitted for will not be considered a continuing student and will be required to submit a new admission application for their intended term of attendance.

Receive Login Instructions

A confirmation letter will be emailed to you within 1 week after submission, along with instructions to create one password to access myCSUSTAN (your student portal) and Stanislaus State email account. It is the student's responsibility to keep track of their admission application through myCSUSTAN and their university email. Please note these are two different accounts with the same username and password.

Submit Required Material

We make conditional offers of admission based on the information provided on the application. Do not send transcripts, unless requested. If we are unable to make a decision, we will contact you via email. If additional information is requested, it will be indicated on your myCSUSTAN account with a due date.

Admission decisions will be recorded in myCSUSTAN and a letter mailed.

Freshmen:
Test scores are required for applicants with less than a 3.0 GPA, but are highly recommended for  all applicants. Share your scores electronically by using the below school codes.

SAT:

  • Release to the Cal State Apply code of 3594 or to Stanislaus State’s code of 4713. In both cases, scores will be shared with every campus to which an applicant submits an application.
  • Applicants are encouraged to report their College Board ID.

ACT:

  • Release to any CSU campus. Scores will be shared with every campus to which an applicant submits an application. Stanislaus State’s code is 0435.
  • Applicants are encouraged to report their ACT ID for matching purposes.

Transfers:
Test scores or other external credit must be sent directly from the issuing agency (ie: College Board, CLEP, military credit, etc).

If accepted to the university, send official transcripts by the specified deadline to confirm your eligibility and have a transfer credit evaluation completed in time for New Student Orientation.

Residency

Although residency for tuition purposes is NOT a factor in admissions, we are required to make a determination. You may receive communication requesting additional information.

All applicants are encouraged to complete admission requirements. If you are unable to complete certain subjects because of a disability, you should contact Disability Resource Services at (209) 667-3159 to receive further information about your eligibility to attend the University.

Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships

File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid or your California Dream Act– the priority filing period is October 1 - March 2. File your GPA verification form with the California Student Aid Commission by March 2. Visit your student center and the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office for more information.
