Meal Plan 101:
Your Guide to Dining on Campus

Housing and Residential Life does not manage the residential dining program; all meal plan fees collected are on behalf of campus food service provider Chartwells “Warrior Eats.” Our staff and student representatives work closely with Warrior Eats to ensure that our residents have the best possible dining experience.

For more details about dining hours and locations, visit the Warrior Eats website.

Have a suggestion, question or feedback about your dining experience? Directly text the Warrior Eats leadership team at (209) 841-0772.

What’s a Warrior ID Card?

Your Warrior Card is your key to:

  • Identification on Campus
  • Meal Plans
  • Library Services
  • Enrollment Services
  • Campus Recreation
  • Athletic Events
  • And more!

Your Warrior Card is THE most important card that you will have at Stan State; it's vital for accessing services. Please protect your card and carry it with you at all times.

To get your Warrior ID Card, visit the OIT Support Desk (Library 256). They will take your photo and print your card right there on the spot!

  • Students can submit their photo in advance via the Warrior Card Online Submission Tool. Cards belonging to residents will be delivered to the Housing Office within a few days.

Returning residents: if your Warrior Card is lost or stolen, a replacement card may be requested by contacting warriorcard@csustan.edu. Replacement cards may be subject to a fee of $5.00.

New students do not have to pay for their first Warrior Card.

To check your transaction history, view your balance, or add funds to your card, visit the Warrior Card website.

How Do I Use My Meal Plan?

Meal Plans are loaded onto Warrior ID Cards by semester. For example, if a resident selects the Suite Plan, $1,800 will be loaded in August and $1,800 will be loaded in January.

  • All unused funds from the fall semester will roll over to the spring semester.
  • Meal plan funds that have not been used by the closure of dining services for the Contract Year (e.g. end of the school year in May) will be forfeited to Chartwells/Warrior Eats, per the university dining contract. If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it!

All plans are loaded onto resident Warrior ID cards. Meal Plans function as a declining balance “debit card” and are active beginning Move-In Day.

We recommend starting with a smaller plan and adding more funds as needed. Need to recharge? Students, family, or friends can add more funds to a meal plan on the Warrior Card website.

Meal plans can be used at any open dining venue on campus, including Starbucks, whether it be for a coffee, a full meal, a meal for a friend, or household items from The MicroMarket!

In a hurry? Download the Boost Mobile Ordering app in the App Store or Google Play to preorder and pay for your meals at nearly all of the dining venues. You can even pre-pay with your meal plan!

For more details about dining hours and locations, visit the Warrior Eats website. Please note that not all of the locations listed are currently open. Venues are subject to change as adjusted by Chartwells/Warrior Eats.
