Who will CHRS Impact?
CHRS will have a different impact on every university in the CSU system.

Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT) employees will be actively engaged during implementation.

HR employees will see business processes change and learn new procedures.

Employees who use self-service will see that self-service and workflow will be different, which will be a culture change for some people.

Campus leaders will help support employee adoption of CHRS.
Why are we implementing CHRS?
CHRS is based on PeopleSoft 9.2 with modifications to make it work for campuses in the CSU system. These modifications have been designed by experts from all campuses in the CSU system and are being built by the Chancellor’s Office. Built for the CSU, by the CSU.

Prior to CHRS:

23 different versions of software across the CSU system, which is difficult and costly to maintain
Campuses using different HR processes
No common way of doing business or sharing of resources
PeopleSoft 9.0 is not supported anymore
With CHRS:

All campuses on one common system (PeopleSoft 9.2)
Efficient and more cost-effective
Perform HR processes in a common way and can support other campuses
Positions the CSU to consider cloud-based technologies in the future
