In approaching a new semester, students and employees who plan to park on campus should purchase a parking permit in one of the following ways:
Staff and faculty have the option of purchasing an annual or semester permit. To enroll in payroll deduction, employees will be required to come into the University Police Department to complete the necessary forms and pay any applicable fees. New employees and those employees on campus on a limited basis, may take their hiring/appointment letter to the University Police Department with a valid picture identification to purchase a parking permit.
The following permits are available for students:
- Student Semester Parking Permit: valid in student lots from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., M-F
- Student Economy Parking Permit: only valid in economy parking spaces from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., M-F. Economy permits are sold on a limited basis, with only 440 available. Map of economy parking permit locations
- Student Evening Permit: valid from 4-10 p.m., M-F
- Daily Permit: purchase from a permit dispenser near campus entrances for $6. To locate a daily parking dispenser, please look at our dispenser map.
Purchase a semester permit at a reduced rate for motorcycles. Motorcycle permits are only valid in specifically designated Motorcycle Parking locations.
Purchase from a dispenser near campus entrances for $6, have cash/change available. To locate daily parking dispensers around campus, look at the parking lot dispensers map.
Hourly Parking (Lot 1 Only)
Hourly parking permits can be purchased in Lot 1 for $1/hour. Permits do not exempt vehicles from paying the appropriate parking meter fee.*
*Exception: Vehicles displaying a Disabled Persons Parking Placard/or Disabled Persons License Plate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles may display a valid Stanislaus State permit in lieu of paying the meter fee per CCR42200(c)(2), also see Disabled section XII
Visitor / Volunteer Permit
To request visitor or volunteer parking permits, you must submit a Guest Parking Request no later than two days prior to their visit. Requests will only be processed once this form submission is received.
