The University Student Center Board of Directors is the governing board of the University Student Center. The purpose of the Board is to develop policies and procedures for the effective conduct and management of the University Student Center programs, facilities and services. This Board promotes services and events that enhance the student experience by advising in matters related to the University Student Center.

The University Student Center Board of Directors has fifteen voting members including:

The members of the Board of Directors are selected for the academic year, and all student seats become vacant at the end of each year. Students currently serving on the Board must submit an application to be considered for another term.

Why did you join the SC Board of Directors?
I joined the University Student Center Board of Directors to advocate for a safe and welcoming space that allows all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community to create lasting memories. My goal in joining the University Student Center Board of Directors is to ensure that the diverse needs of all students are recognized and met with our facilities, services, and programs. As a student who spends a significant amount of time on campus, I wanted to advocate for students who utilize the University Student Center and further enhance each student's college experience.

I joined the University Student Board of Directors to help create a more comfortable and inclusive space for all students on campus! College can be very stressful; having an outlet for students to take a break and enjoy the stereotypical college life is so important. It should also be a space filled with resources for Stan State Warriors to utilize for success in their academic careers as well!

Student Center President Jelaine Esguerra

Dear Warriors,

My name is Jelaine Esguerra, and I am honored to serve as the 2024-2025 University Student Center Board Chair. The University Student Center is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of serving as the hub of Student Engagement on our campus. In collaboration with the University Student Center Board of Directors, we are committed to ensuring that the Student Center serves as a safe and empowering space where students can engage, empower, and transform our student body. The University Student Center is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community, and is committed to enhancing the overall student experience through our facilities, programs, and services. 

It is an honor for me to work with a dedicated team of students and staff who advocate for the needs of the Turlock and Stockton campus communities. The Student Center Executives, including myself, Jordyn Piro, SC Vice Chair, and Erik Jimenez, SC Vice Chair of Finance, are thrilled to work on initiatives and goals that will further benefit you all and enhance your experience at Stanislaus State. 

As our University evolves, the University Student Center will strive to meet the needs of our ever-changing campus community. Myself, along with the Board of Directors, are here to continue addressing your needs. We invite you to attend our meetings, events, and engage with your Student Center Board as our mission is to serve you and meet any needs you may have. Your involvement is crucial as we work together to create lasting memories and experiences.
