Learning Commons
Utilize the Learning Commons for free academic support available to all enrolled Stanislaus State students. Our aim is to foster an inclusive learning environment, sparking dialogue among students to exchange strategies for academic excellence. Benefit from individual and group tutoring across most disciplines, writing support for undergraduates and graduates and supplemental instruction sessions for specific courses.
Tutoring is free to all enrolled Stanislaus State students!
Our peer educators help students by answering questions, reviewing materials, explaining concepts, repeating ideas, and modeling good study habits.
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a voluntary program providing free, weekly study sessions tailored for traditionally challenging courses. Open to all students aiming to enhance their grasp of course material and elevate their grades.
Led by student SI Leaders, sessions feature interactive group activities designed to deepen understanding of course concepts, bolster exam preparation, and cultivate effective study habits.
The Learning Commons is offering 12 online learning workshops for all Stan State students. Developed by Innovative Educators and college learning experts, these on-demand workshops are designed to help you maximize your university experience and prepare you for academic success at Stanislaus State. As you learn and attend classes in both online and in-person formats, these accessible workshops can help you reach your academic goals.
