Front Desk Student Assistant

Serve as a Learning Commons student assistant for the front desk - the connection, communication, and clerical hub of services and operations. Front desk student assistants welcome and connect students to services, complete clerical tasks, and share how the Learning Commons contributes to student success through a variety of communication tools and marketing events. The Learning Commons is the campus resource for learning support. They offer peer-led learning support for a variety of courses through Supplemental Instruction, Tutoring, and Writing Centers along with resources, strategies, and workshops to help students reach their academic goals. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greets guests and route to the appropriate department/staff.
Assist with filing and tracking using paper and electronic systems Assist with running errands to other buildings/departments.
Assist with data entry. Assist with answering phones, emails and routing inquires to the appropriate staff in a professional manner.
Assists with referring students to other campus and community resources. Assist with logistics for meetings, outreach and events.
Assists with development of marketing materials and social media connections. Communicates and works with teams to complete projects.
Assist students in scheduling appointments and responding to inquires using our learning center management platform, StanTutor.
Monitor and assist with questions online and in-person.
