A Live Scan is a way to take fingerprints, which are then digitalized and transmitted directly to the Department of Justice (DOJ) then checks the fingerprints against known criminal history records. A response (criminal history or no criminal history) is then sent to the agency requesting the Live Scan. If an applicant has no criminal history a response should be sent from the DOJ to the requesting agency in approximately 3 to 7 days. Occasionally it can take longer.

University Police Department provides vehicle unlocks if you are parked on campus. The vehicle owner must sign a waiver releasing the University from liability due to possible damage resulting from the attempt to unlock or jumpstart your vehicle.

The Emergency Blue Light Phones are located throughout the campus and alert University Police Department to an emergency. See Emergency Blue Light Phones Map. Once a phone is activated by pressing the button, a phone call is immediately made to University Police Department, alerting the dispatcher of the location of the activated phone. The blue light on the phone is activated as well.
