Mission Statement

The mission of the Warriors Teach! Residency Pathway is to accelerate the achievement of all students through the preparation, support, and retention of exceptional teachers who are advocates for children and their communities.

Application Information

Residents are selected through a careful screening process. Residents must be of the highest caliber in commitment to students, enthusiasm, collaboration, and excellence. Potential residents must meet all criteria for the Credential Program, have passed the CBEST and all CSETs prior to admission. CSETs are not required for California State University, Stanislaus Liberal Studies majors.

Now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 AY!

  1. Complete the online Credential Program & Graduate School Application.

  2. Complete the Residency Application and include your response to the essay prompt, expressing interest in the Warriors Teach! Residency Pathway by March 28, 2025. Ensure your application is complete before submitting.

  3. Notifications for interviews will be sent out via email in early April.

Interested in pursuing a rewarding teaching career?

 

  • Complete your student teaching across 2 semesters, alongside an expert mentor teacher in a carefully selected school in either Ceres Unified School District (all programs; 40 spots available) or Modesto City Schools (MSCP & SSCP only; 13 spots available) 
  • Take coursework in the evenings (schedule provided) & immediately apply and practice skills in a classroom setting
  • Participate in co-teaching and experience the full school year from start to finish
  • Receive a $30,000- $35,000 stipend less taxes (paid monthly across 10 months) for living/tuition expenses
  • Be hired as a sub in the district of residency and granted opportunities to sub throughout the school year

  • Receive priority hiring in the district in which you complete your residency
  • Apply, interview, & commit to teaching in the district in which you completed your residency (if offered a position) or in another high-needs school district for 4 years
