• Alcoholics Anonymous (A. A.) is an international fellowship of men and women who follow a 12-step program that addresses alcohol consumption. Anyone can attend A.A. meetings; there are no requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking. • SMART Recovery uses a 4-point self-empowering addiction recovery program and through support groups. Additional information on meetings in your area is available.
• California Smokers’ Helpline: 1-800-NO-BUTTS (1-800-662-8887)
  The California Smoker’s Helpline is a telephone program that can help you quit smoking. Helping services are free. Services include self-help, counseling over the phone, and a referral list of other programs.
