Our Mission

The Equity Programs and Compliance office promotes an equitable and inclusive learning and work environment at Stanislaus State by advancing equal opportunities in all University programs and experiences.

About Us

The Equity Programs and Compliance office is responsible for the University's compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and CSU system policies and procedures regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, and whistleblower protection. The office provides an impartial and neutral avenue for students, faculty, staff, and affiliated members of the University community to address concerns regarding potential violations of CSU policies.

Roles

The Director of the Equity Programs and Compliance and/or designee serves as the Clery Director, Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation Administrator, the Assistant 504/ADA Coordinator, the Volunteers Program Administrator, and the CANRA Administrator for Stanislaus State.

Statement of Non-Discrimination

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and certain other federal and state laws, prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender or sexual orientation in employment, as well as in all education programs and activities operated by the University (both on and off campus). The protection against discrimination on the basis of gender or sexual orientation includes sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and gender based dating and domestic violence and stalking. The following entity has been designated to handle inquiries regarding the non-discrimination policies.

Report a Concern

Submissions from this form are reviewed during business hours (8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday); we will be contacting the individual identified as the Complainant (i.e. person with the concern) in the report within 1 business day to provide appropriate reporting options, supportive measures, and campus resources.

*Protected Statuses include: Age, Disability, Gender, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, Genetic Information, Marital Status, Medical Condition, Nationality, Race or Ethnicity, Religion, Sexual Orientation, and Veteran or Military Status.

**Anonymous Complaints: Equity Programs & Compliance practices sensitivity and privacy rights regarding student and employees’ information that aligns with CSU policies. Per CSU’s Nondiscrimination Policy, the University may have limited capability to take further or full action if key information is missing, unavailable, or if the Complaining Party requests anonymity and/or does not wish to move forward with a complaint. Equity & Compliance will make every good faith effort available to provide Parties with appropriate support, information, and reasonable action based on available information.
