Student Engagement Funding and Banking
If your student organization plans on hosting an event open to the entire student body, you are eligible for this funding.
Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) promotes student engagement by allocating funds from the annual ASI Operating Budget to fund student organization ran events on campus. Student Engagement Funding is an opportunity for organizations to host events that benefit and broaden the educational, social, political, and cultural experience of students on campus. Recognized organizations can request up to $1,500 per academic year to support programs, fundraisers, activities, and events, including cultural and diversity events.
There are three cycles each semester to request Student Engagement Funding. Spring 2024 Semester dates for each opportunity are listed below:
1st Cycle
Applications Open: Monday, January 29th
Applications Deadline: Monday, February 12th
2nd Cycle
Applications Open: Monday, February 26th
Applications Deadline: Monday, March 11th
3rd Cycle
Applications Open: Monday, April 1st
Applications Deadline: Monday, April 15th
The steps for requesting funds are as follows:
- Complete the Student Engagement Funding Request Form.
- Meet with the ASI Student Government Coordinator at least seven days prior to the ASI Student Engagement Funding Committee meeting.
- All request over $250.00 will have to attend a Funding Committee meeting to present committee members information regarding your event. You must provide marketing/advertising materials regarding your event.
- The committee will vote on the approval or denial of the student organization funds requested. If approved, the funds will automatically be distributed to your account.
- If approved, you must submit a Check Request Form and email it to the ASI Administrative Support Coordinator to use the funds. Please review the procedures for filling out the Check Request Form.
For more information, review the Student Engagement Funding Policy.
We look forward to receiving applications from recognized student organizations to help enhance the Warrior Experience at Stan State!
