If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
My leadership will center around building a system where feedback doesn’t just get collected but followed through with transparency in action. Students deserve to be empowered and to see visible results which I’m dedicated to delivering. Additionally, affordability. College should be an investment in our future and not a financial burden. I will advocate for affordability across the many areas that make up financial barriers while increasing access to resources. Whether this be for student parents, residential, commuters, working students and all students who make up the campus community to have support that impact their daily needs.
Why should students vote for you?
I extremely value and practice being an approachable leader, not someone who leads through fear or dominance. During my term, I advocated for students not just within one area but multiple. That being affordability, student parents, looking beyond to our Stockton campus and when additional concerns were brought to me, I took initiative to find answers and kept students informed every step of the way. I not only balance responsibilities but am good at balancing attending to all needs of the students and being the person who can be approached to listen while actually acting upon it to create measurable progress.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
A true sense of diversity, inclusion and belonging is when every student feels their background, identity and culture is valued beyond someone claiming to do so. Differences are what helps create a stronger, affective campus that allows for meaningful connections. Inclusion doesn’t just mean claiming to support everyone, it’s going beyond that label, through actions that show students’ voices shape decisions. Diversity and inclusion build on the meaning of belonging. From a student myself, I know students feel a sense of belonging when their diverse background is shared and when those differences are actually respected and included.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
When students invest their time and money in this university, we deserve new leadership that translates our concerns into real results, not silence. For too long, affordable parking and stronger financial aid have been ignored. As tuition, student fees, and everyday expenses continue to rise, I will fight for accessible scholarships and grants that cover essential costs, including parking permits and textbooks. My second goal is to ensure our Student Government defends our diverse campus. As ICE continues to target immigrants and minorities, I will strengthen Undocumented Student Services and advocate for inclusive resources, so every student thrives without fear.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I will lead through meaningful action, not empty words. Too often, students are seen as customers rather than individuals whose needs deserve attention. Your voice matters, and I will always be responsive to it. I understand students may be first-generation, commuters, employees, parents, etc., and campus policies should reflect these realities. I am committed to tackling issues like financial aid, parking, academic advising, and food services. As a former ASI Director, I worked with faculty to ensure students are equal stakeholders. As President, I will use these relationships to turn voices into real change.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
We live in a world where racism and violence have become normalized, especially toward minority communities. Our campus must be an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds, cultures, and sexual orientations are welcomed, respected, and valued. As the former Director for Diversity, I collaborated with faculty to raise awareness of campus resources, such as the Cross Cultural Center, and informed students of their constitutional rights. As President, I will continue to protect the safety and dignity of all students. Diversity is meaningless if we remain silent, and I will ensure our Student Government advocates for those living in fear.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, my two main goals focus on expanding opportunity and increasing transparency. First, I hope to establish a travel grant that supports student organizations and individual students in attending conferences and leadership trainings. This grant would help cover transportation, registration, and lodging costs so financial barriers do not prevent students from pursuing professional development.
For my second initiative, I will launch a comprehensive media campaign to actively promote and publicize ASI board meetings, internal meetings, and university-wide committee meetings. This initiative will ensure students are consistently informed about when and where decisions are being made, increasing transparency and encouraging greater student participation in campus governance.
Why should students vote for you?
You should vote for me because I understand the frustration many feel about red tape and the lack of clear, upfront support within our university system. As a current student organization president, I have firsthand experience navigating these challenges, especially for smaller organizations that often struggle to access resources and guidance. I have faced those obstacles myself and know how discouraging they can be. I care deeply about building a stronger campus community and will be vocal, persistent, and committed to advocating for meaningful improvements that directly support students.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
To me, diversity, inclusion, and belonging mean ensuring that a wide range of voices are actively involved in decision-making, not included as an afterthought. It requires clear, transparent communication and intentional outreach so every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Belonging means knowing you have a place here and that your perspective matters. This is essential to the Vice President role, which serves as a bridge between leadership and the broader student body. The Vice President must listen thoughtfully, advocate consistently, and ensure all communities feel represented.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, my first goal is to strengthen support for student organizations by ensuring they have the resources, visibility, and guidance needed to succeed. Student organizations play a major role in building community on campus, and I want to help them grow, collaborate, and create meaningful experiences for students. My second goal is to explore incentives that encourage greater student engagement. By recognizing participation in campus events, leadership opportunities, and student initiatives, we can motivate more students to get involved and feel connected to campus life while building a stronger campus community overall.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I am committed to continuing to advocate for their needs and improving the student experience on our campus. As someone who is currently serving in this position, I have already gained valuable experience working with students, faculty, and administrators to address student concerns. I want to continue building on that work by supporting student organizations, encouraging greater student involvement, and ensuring student voices remain part of important campus decisions. My goal is to represent students with dedication, transparency, and a genuine commitment to our campus community.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Diversity means recognizing and valuing the different identities, experiences, and perspectives within our campus community. Inclusion means actively creating spaces where those voices are welcomed and involved in decision making. Belonging means ensuring that every student feels respected, supported, and confident that they matter here. In leadership, it is important to advocate for all students and ensure that resources, opportunities, and support systems are accessible to everyone.

If elected, my first goal is to increase transparency and accessibility in student government by clearly communicating how student fees are allocated and ensuring students understand where their money goes, while also advocating for more funding for student organizations. My second goal is to expand student engagement and support by creating more opportunities for involvement and strengthening connections between students and campus resources. I want every student and organization to feel supported, informed, and empowered to enhance campus life and success for all students.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I bring proven leadership, real experience, and a strong commitment to representing their voices. I genuinely love this campus, know it extremely well, and am consistently present and involved in student life. Because I am always here, I see what students experience daily and understand their needs firsthand. I have worked in student government and organizations, so I know how to navigate systems and make real change. I am approachable, accountable, and dedicated to turning student concerns into meaningful action.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
As Vice President of Finance, diversity, inclusion, and belonging mean ensuring that financial decisions reflect and support the needs of all students, not just a select few. It is important that funding is allocated fairly and equitably so that organizations from all backgrounds have the opportunity to grow and succeed. By prioritizing inclusive budgeting and listening to a wide range of student voices, we can create a campus where everyone feels represented and supported. This leads to stronger organizations, increased engagement, and a more connected campus community overall.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
First, I would prioritize ensuring every student in the college of science truly feels they belong. With up to 33% of students switching majors or leaving the college of science altogether, building connections and strong support systems is essential. I would promote mentorship opportunities and build our community with social events open to all science majors. Second, I aim to make academic, research, and career resources more well-known and accessible so every science student can feel prepared with resources to thrive. Overall, my goal is to meet students where they are and support them in reaching their fullest potential.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I am extremely involved in our campus community, and I understand how to collaborate and build connections across diverse groups. Through ASPIRE, Science in Our Community, ASI Code Red Entertainment, Greek life, and 200 hours of community service, I have learned the significance of advocating for others and speaking up with confidence. Working with different organizations has strengthened my ability to listen, communicate, and bring different groups of people together. As an upcoming senior, I am ready to dedicate my final year to strengthening our science community at the peer, advisor, and administration level.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
As the first Asian woman in my family working towards attaining a STEM degree for pre-health, I understand the significance of diversity, inclusion, and representation, especially in science. Growing up in a less diverse community taught me that surrounding yourself with diverse perspectives can create a stronger sense of community. I have seen how stereotypes and underrepresentation can impact confidence and opportunity. If elected ASI Director of the College of Science, I would advocate for those who may not have the opportunity to speak up and create a community where every science student feels they genuinely belong and can thrive.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, my first goal would be to make sure students feel heard and informed by improving communication between ASI and the student body. I want students to clearly understand what resources are available to them and feel like their voices actually matter in decisions being made. My second goal would be to create more opportunities for students to get involved and feel connected on campus. I care about making the college experience more engaging and inclusive so that students feel like they truly have a sense and can make the most out of their time here.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I actually care about making things better for us, not just holding a position. I’m someone who listens, takes things seriously, and follows through when I give my word. I want to represent students in a way that’s honest and practical, and make sure the things we care about don’t get overlooked.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
As an ASI Director, prioritizing diversity and inclusion is crucial because science fields historically have barriers for underrepresented groups. I would work to ensure all science students have equal access to resources, opportunities, and support systems.

If elected, I would like to increase engagement within Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences through improved advertisements and/or events. Another goal would be to look into the needs of the arts programs to best help in their needs.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I am a familar face around campus, as well as to the role. I have one year of ASI under my belt and have been able to get into the groove of the position and hope to continue and improve with this role.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Having diversity, inclusion, and belonging is important in this position to understand how to accomadate to the needs of different majors within this college by need. Since the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences are such a diverse college, it is important to assess problems equitably.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, my two main goals I hope to accomplish are strengthening student advocacy and improving communication between ASI and the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. To fulfill these goals I will actively meet with the Dean, attend university committees, and bring forward student concerns. I also want the students of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences to know what is going on with ASI and get involved.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I am committed to being a reliable, active, and transparent Director for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. My goal is to insure students feel heard, informed, and confident that their concerns will be represented by a person with integrity and respect.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
My understanding of diversity, inclusion, and belonging is being able to recognize and value that we do not all come from the same backgrounds. We all bring different perspectives and experiences to our college. The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences represents a wide range of cultural, social, and academic backgrounds. As Director, it is important to me to advocate for equal opportunities, inclusivity, and respect that will allow for a sense of belonging to all students.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, my first goal is to strengthen communication between students in the College of Education, Kinesiology, and Social Work and university leadership so that student concerns, ideas, and needs are clearly represented. My second goal is to promote more student engagement by supporting events, workshops, and opportunities that help students grow both academically and professionally. Many students in these fields are preparing for careers dedicated to helping others, and I want to ensure they feel supported, connected, and proud to be part of the Stanislaus State community.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I genuinely care about representing and supporting my peers. As an Exercise Science major with a 4.0 GPA, I understand the dedication students put into their education and future careers. My leadership experiences through athletics, community service, and campus organizations have helped me develop strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. I am someone who listens, values different perspectives, and works hard to advocate for others. I will do my best to ensure students in our college feel heard, represented, and supported.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Diversity, inclusion, and belonging mean creating an environment where every student feels respected, valued, and welcomed regardless of their background, culture, or experiences. A strong campus community exists when students feel comfortable sharing their perspectives and know their voices matter. As someone from an Assyrian immigrant family, I understand the importance of feeling represented and supported within a community. In this role, it is important to ensure that students from all majors and backgrounds within the college feel included and that their perspectives are reflected in decisions affecting them.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, two main goals I hope to accomplish are building stronger connections across campus and contributing to a positive and supportive environment. As a Public Health major within Kinesiology, I want to help connect different majors and individuals to create more opportunities that support students as a whole. Through inclusive events and collaboration, I hope to be a friendly face on campus where you can find support, feel heard, and truly feel a part of a community.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I truly care about this campus and its students. I want to create an environment where every student feels seen, heard, and like their voice matters. I am responsible, reliable, have previous experience in leadership, and want students to feel supported and included. I am committed to showing up, and I hope to be able to serve you!
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are important to this position because every student should feel welcome on campus and like they belong. Personally, diversity means acknowledging and celebrating everyone’s experiences, and different backgrounds. Through this position, I would want to continue the positive environment that Stanislaus has created for me, where students feel accepted, represented, and welcome. Every voice matters!

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, two main goals of mine as the Director of Diversity would be to create more opportunities and sense of connection among my diverse peers. The first would be to bridge the gap between students and opportunities, events, and leadership roles. The second goal would come from a personal perspective of being a small business owner, intern with Warrior Eats, and commuting student. It would be to provide a diverse range of engaging events for all students to feel connected to and resonate with their time at Stan State; to feel more than a “simple 4 years of college.”
Why should students vote for you?
I think students should vote for Brittney Fabian, as I hope to take on this position with many of their perspectives in mind. I too walk their same journey and can relate with a vast variety of students. With both a mindset and work ethic to promote diversity for all on campus. As their peers who understands the diversity in simple terms such as food while working under Warrior Eats, I will advocate for students who need and want to see change. I too resonate with the many useful resources, the campus provides us and hope to advocate for more.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
My understanding is supported by my personal background and lived experiences both professionally, academically, and culturally. I understand diversity, inclusion, and belonging to all coincide with one another rather than have one stand out most among the others. Having the three in mind as director would mean I recognize and see all students, assuring they all not only feel heard but comfortable and respected while on campus. It is important to build a stronger and united community on campus, and that starts with leaders that display inclusion organically and shadow to others what truly belonging feels like at CSU Stan.

If elected, what are two main goals you hope to accomplish?
If elected, my two main goals are to expand opportunities and increase student involvement in the College of Business. First, I want to create and support more business-related clubs so students can explore different interests and build useful skills. Second, I want to provide more opportunities for growth through networking events, workshops, and connections with professionals. As a business student nearing graduation, I understand how important these experiences are. I want to make sure every student has access to resources that help them grow, gain confidence, and feel prepared for their future career.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I understand the experience of being a business student and want to improve it for others. As I prepare to graduate, I have seen both the strengths of our college and where students need more support and opportunities. I am committed to listening to student concerns and turning them into real improvements. I will work to expand access to clubs, events, and professional resources. My goal is to leave a positive impact and help create an environment where students feel more supported, involved, and prepared for their future careers.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
My understanding of diversity, inclusion, and belonging is that every student should have equal opportunities, feel respected, and feel like they are part of the College of Business. Diversity means having students from different backgrounds and experiences. Inclusion means making sure everyone is welcomed and supported. Belonging means students feel comfortable being themselves. This is important for this position because I represent all students. As a graduating business student, I have seen that not everyone has the same access to opportunities. I want to help create a more supportive environment where every student can get involved, grow, and succeed.

If elected, my first goal would be to strengthen overall communication between business students and the Board by making sure that their ideas, concerns, and feedback are heard. My second goal is to expand career development opportunities by advocating for more networking events. Business students would thrive with more opportunities for internship connections and overall workshop events tailored to them. As a business student myself, I want to help students feel better prepared, supported, and informed when transitioning out of their college careers.
Why should students vote for you?
Students should vote for me because I am committed to consistently representing their ideas and interests with responsibility and transparency. I understand the challenges business students face trying to manage academic and career pressures. I am motivated to advocate for practical resources that make a real difference. I am approachable, organized, and always willing to listen to all perspectives. While I do want to hold this position, my main goal is to contribute to meaningful improvements that benefit the entire College of Business.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Diversity, inclusion, and belonging mean creating an environment where all individuals constantly feel respected and supported, no matter their background. Specifically within a College of Business setting, this would include recognizing different perspectives, experiences, and goals that students bring. Having already been in a student organization, I know what it feels like to be surrounded by different perspectives. Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are essential because these diverse perspectives lead to stronger ideas, better decision-making, and a more inclusive community. In this position, I will ensure that all students have equal access to opportunities and feel represented regardless of their background.

Create an empowering environment for new students. A mentorship program to bring students together, create bonds, and ask each other for help navigating classes. Promote support for upper division courses by getting the right aid to succeed in those classes. Several students in my department have faced a challenges getting tutoring on campus without the need to commute to the Stockton Campus.
Why should students vote for you?
As Director of the College of Business, I would be the voice to advocate for the needs of students in my department. As a black woman from a middle-class family who is a part of the LGBTQIA community, I understand what it feels like to face discrimination systematically and socially. As a student, struggling to see college through to the end I am thankful for the privilege I have because of people who paved the way for me to access opportunities. I want to be able to advocate for people with diverse backgrounds from mine because everyone needs a voice.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are important to me because they promote individuality. A recent experience can be that I recently became friends with someone from Dubai who was ethnically Indian. I learned a lot about Dubai as a city. Learning about my friend's culture taught me how her culture relates to my culture. Being around someone with a different background from mine changed my perspective on how I understand people I meet from distinct cultures and ethnic groups every day. Most importantly, being able to bring people from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and sexual orientations together is diversity.

One of my main goals to accomplish is to bring unity among all organizations. As I'm in my first year, I have noticed that there isn’t enough engagement between the different student organizations. Therefore, it's my goal to unite the organizations to bring awareness and representation to let current and incoming students know everything Stan has to offer. My second goal is to understand the different demographics and interests of students on campus and incorporate those values into campus more to increase student life and engagement on campus.
Why should students vote for you?
As someone who has recently taken on the endeavors of college, I'm someone who is navigating not only the trials and errors of college but growing from them as well. Additionally, I came into college not knowing what I wanted to do on campus. This is a sentiment that I am sure many others feel, especially at Stan. That's why I want to focus on helping others feel welcome on campus and providing them with the information they need to succeed and help them find organizations that they can enjoy and flourish in.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Diversity is a topic that many struggle to comprehend when it comes to its importance, as well as the struggle with its many meanings. Diversity to myself stands out as it helps with the goal of inclusion by welcoming everyone despite differences, and creates a sense of belonging by matching people with interests so they can feel a close connection to someone on campus. The importance is significant as people can feel included and find their sense within the Director of Student Organizations by encouraging each organization to promote diversity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging.

If elected my first goal I hope to accomplish would be to unify student orgs in order to encourage collaboration. I would plan to host events where orgs would be able to get to know one another and make connections they can use for the future. My second goal would be to provide a space for student orgs to thrive and show off their warrior pride. I believe student orgs are the heart of student life and should be allotted resources to make their voices heard.
Why should students vote for you?
I believe that students should vote for me because I am for the students. I am currently president of my org and do anything and everything in my power to provide my org with all the essentials they need to thrive. If I were to get this position I plan to do the same for all orgs. I will be open to all orgs to address their concerns and provide a voice to speak for all orgs.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
I believe diversity, inclusion, and belonging is at the heart of student orgs. Student orgs are meant to provide a safe space for all students to be able to be truly themselves. I plan to use my position to provide just this space with student orgs being able to communicate freely to me about their concerns and ideas with an unbiased ear. I plan to lead with integrity and inclusivity in order for all orgs to feel that they have a space here at CSU Stanislaus.

If elected, my first goal is to better support student organizations by increasing resources, funding, and opportunities that help them grow and succeed. Student orgs are a major part of campus life, and I want to ensure they have what they need to thrive. My second goal is to help students become more exposed to these organizations and feel more connected to campus. By increasing awareness and involvement, I want to create a stronger sense of unity where students feel engaged, included, and connected with one another.
Why should students vote for you?
I bring a fresh perspective as a first-year student while already actively involved on campus. In my first year, I have joined and participated in multiple student organizations, which has helped me understand different communities and what students need to feel connected and supported. I am committed, approachable, and eager to represent student voices. I want to use my experience and perspective to advocate for students, strengthen organizations, and help create a more united and engaged campus community.
Please describe your understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging and how or why you think it is important to this position?
Diversity, inclusion, and belonging mean recognizing and valuing the different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that every student brings to campus, while making sure everyone feels respected and supported. Growing up around many different ethnic groups and being of mixed ethnicity myself, I understand how important it is for people of all backgrounds to have opportunities to join and feel welcomed in campus communities. In this position, it is important to support organizations fairly and ensure access for all students, helping build a more connected, inclusive, and unified campus.
