Joint venture to improve access to higher education for local students, and provide preparation for university and early-career success

California State University (CSU) Stanislaus President Hamid Shirvani, Ph.D., and Modesto Junior College (MJC) President Gaither Loewenstein, Ph.D, formally announced a joint venture to create the Turlock Educational Center on the CSU Stanislaus campus. The center will play an important role in preparing students to succeed in university-level classes and compete for early-career opportunities.
 
Educational professionals and others who may be interested in pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership are encouraged to attend an informational meeting at California State University, Stanislaus on Wednesday evening, February 9. The meeting will take place at 5:00 p.m. in Demergasso-Bava Hall, Room 302 for anyone interested in more information about the next Ed.D. cohort set to start on the Turlock campus this June.
California State University, Stanislaus’, College of the Arts, Department of Theatre production of Dennis Kelly’s “Debris” has been selected for participation in the 2011 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival XLIII, Region XIII. The Regional Festival, encompassing colleges and universities in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Hawaii, Guam, and American Samoa, attracted 70 entries of which 10 are invited to perform at the KCACTF Regional Festival, February 8-12, in Los Angeles, CA, at the Los Angeles Theatre Center.

As of the first day of classes through census date, in order to add any class, students will be required to obtain a class permission number from the instructor. Please note: Individual Study and Special Registrations will continue to use the existing hard copy forms.
The Cal State Stanislaus men's basketball team pulls off the biggest upset since becoming a member of the CCAA as the Warriors shocked No. 4 Cal State Dominguez Hills, 62-55.

Once again, the Warriors executed their game plan to near-perfection to complete an undefeated weekend to improve to 8-10 overall and 6-8 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. All six of CSUS's conference wins came on home court.

Dwight Jones led all players with 15 points, 13 of them in the first half, and Reggie Jones chipped in 11 to pace the Warriors.
