Jacob Szekely Masterclass - November 1, 2018

Up to now, creative string instruction has fallen into two categories: rote imitation and repackaging general musical theory. While both of these approaches are valid, they can be extremely limiting as they fail to address the unique challenges of the cello fingerboard and bow. In this fun fast paced and interactive workshop, Jacob will demonstrate the core concepts of the Improvisor’s Guide To The Cello, the award winning method for empowering improvising cellists of all styles. Bring your cello and find out why IGC has been hailed by cello soloist Michael Fitzpatrick as “The Biggest Breakthrough in cello teaching in the last 50 years.”
