Safety Training

Safety & Risk Management facilitates periodic training for all employees as required by particular environmental health or safety regulations. Most health and safety regulations are enacted by federal, state and/or local regulatory agencies, in particular the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (CALOSHA). Some training is required annually while other training is mandated within the first year of hire.

Additional Training May be Required for some Positions

Due to the different job tasks and classifications on campus, additional training may be required or recommended.  These additional trainings can be found by searching for Trainings Required by Job Classification listing. Examples of additional training requirements would be Defensive Driver Training for employees that operate vehicles as part of their employment or Hazard Communication Training for employees who work with chemicals.

If you have trainings that you would like to see offered, please contact Safety & Risk Management.
