The sun's energy will generate electricity at California State University, Stanislaus as part of a statewide project designed to benefit the environment and reduce power costs.

Submissions of short fiction, poetry, art work, and photography are being accepted through February 26 for “Penumbra,” the annual California State University, Stanislaus art and literary magazine.

Praised for the quality of its groundbreaking program which prepares students for careers in a variety of counseling, treatment, and psychological analysis fields, the California State University, Stanislaus College of Human and Health Sciences has received a new five-year accreditation for its Master of Science Psychology Program in Behavior Analysis.

Students who want to attend California State University, Stanislaus in fall 2009 as first-time freshmen must apply by February 1.

Since deadlines have already been moved up and are subject to change at any time due to the state budget shortfall that requires enrollment limitations, high school students and others seeking first-time freshman admission are advised to get their applications in as soon as possible.

The College of the Arts and Department of Music are pleased to host the 2009 Inter-American Piano Festival at California State University, Stanislaus, from January 23 through January 31.
