California State University, Stanislaus is issuing a last call for graduating high school seniors and transferring community college students to apply for participation in the Summer Mathematics and Science Academy scheduled for June 15 through July 3, 2008. This program explores mathematics and its application to other sciences such as biology, chemistry and physics. The Academy provides an excellent introduction to coursework at the University and to the use of the information learned in the working world.

California State University Stanislaus starts its summer hours schedule on Monday, June 2.

Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The University will resume its regular 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule on Monday, August 25. Summer session classes are scheduled for June 9 to July 18 and July 21 to August 15, and fall semester classes start on Thursday, September 4.

The California State University, Stanislaus Athletics Department has been recognized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association for overall excellence in diversity. The NCAA and Texas A&M's Laboratory for Diversity in Sport recently announced the list of recipients for the 2008 Diversity in Athletics Awards, and Cal State Stanislaus was one of two California State University programs honored.
