California State University (CSU), Stanislaus has again been ranked among the best colleges in the west by U.S. News & World Report. The university ranked 17th among public universities, and 53rd among public and private universities in the region. This is the 16th year in a row that CSU Stanislaus has been recognized in the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges guidebook.

“The consistent recognition illustrates our commitment and dedication to the academic success of our students,” said CSU Stanislaus President Hamid Shirvani. “Despite difficult fiscal circumstances for our state and region, CSU Stanislaus has been able to maintain a learning environment with strong personal attention to students from accomplished faculty.”

The U.S. News & World Report listings are popular with students and parents evaluating prospective universities. Highlights from the 2012 rankings are available online at http://www.usnews.com, and the updated Best Colleges guidebook will arrive on newsstands Sept. 30, 2011.

CSU Stanislaus was also recently listed among the Princeton Review’s “Best 376 Colleges” in the nation for the sixth straight year. The publication cited excellent graduation and retention rates, and strong faculty interaction in its consideration of the campus.
