TURLOCK, CA—March 21, 2012—California State University (CSU), Stanislaus has been recognized with the President of the United States’ Higher Education Community Service Award by the Corporation for National and Community Service. This is the sixth consecutive year CSU Stanislaus has received the honor, and the second consecutive year the university has been placed on the Honor Roll with Distinction, recognition reserved for the top tier of honorees.
What: National Salute to Veteran Patients
When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thurs., March 29
Where: Flagpole in the Quad at CSU Stanislaus, Turlock campus
The Troops to College – Stanislaus Committee in partnership with the American Red Cross will be hosting the Second Annual National Salute to Veteran Patients event at CSU Stanislaus. Campus and community members are invited to participate and help decorate pillowcases, which will then be presented to veterans in area VA hospitals or care facilities.
