What function do the colleges serve at CSU Stanislaus?
The CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration announced the application deadline for its new Online Master of Business Administration (OMBA) degree program has been extended to August 1, 2012. Even though the application deadline has been extended, university officials advise interested students not to delay, as GMAT or GRE testing is required prior to admission. Fall 2012 classes begin August 22.
Joseph F. Sheley began his duties today as interim president of CSU Stanislaus. Sheley, an alumnus of CSU Sacramento, previously spent 16 years in various leadership positions at his alma mater.

Sheley spent 21 years as a faculty member in sociology at Tulane University after earning his Ph.D. in the same field from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. While at Tulane, he also served as chair of the Department of Sociology and faculty head of the University Senate while at Tulane.
California Governor Jerry Brown proposes a $250 million “trigger” cut for the California State University in fiscal year 2012-13.

The trigger hinges on voter approval of a tax initiative on the November 2012 ballot. The cuts will further undermine the mission and quality of the CSU system and will require additional enrollment restrictions that limit the ability of California students to attend.
