California State University (CSU), Stanislaus was recently recognized by two national publications for its policies that favor American service members and facilitate their educational pursuits. The online publication G.I. Jobs (http://www.gijobs.com) included the university in its 2012 list of Military Friendly Schools®. The list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s service members and veterans as students.
The Ansel Adams Inaugural Exhibition: California, recently featured at a local arts center, offered a unique opportunity to Dr. Brenda Betts and her students in the Multiple Subjects Credential Program in the Department of Teacher Education at California State University (CSU), Stanislaus.
The project, envisioned by Associate Dean Kathy Shipley, was to create a curriculum unit for teachers to accompany the recent exhibit of the life’s work of Adams, California’s most renowned photographer, at the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock.
