Custodial Services
The Custodial Staff at California State University, Stanislaus is working together to maintain the cleanliness of the entire campus. The following is a basic outline of some of the many services Capital Planning & Facilities Management (CPFM) Custodial Staff provide. Any questions may be directed to the Customer Service Center at (209) 667-3211.
Capital Planning & Facilities Management recently experienced a reduction in Custodial Services staffing. In response, the department has evaluated its services and determined that it is necessary to prioritize certain buildings and spaces to maintain a reasonable and appropriate Standard of Care. As a result, service reductions will be implemented and inevitably felt throughout the campus.
The prioritization of academic spaces and restrooms will receive the highest priority. Followed by public areas and office spaces. The critical period for our team to service classrooms/labs, is between the hours of 5am and 8am. After 8am, we focus on all other spaces to complete our tasks as appropriate.

Trash removal has traditionally been scheduled once a week, on Wednesdays. Reduced service means that the day of the week may vary. One week it may be on a Wednesday. The following week it may be on a Friday. The day of the week is fluid.
This is determined by the Custodial department. Primary factor of staffing levels for the day will play a crucial role in determining if/when the task(s) for that specific day can be accomplished.
The Custodial department’s goal is to ensure academic spaces such as classrooms and labs are serviced each day between the hours of 5am and 8am; Monday – Friday. Contingent on staff levels for the day, ensuring your classroom is service may be delayed.
