SROC Purpose:
The Student Recreation Oversight Committee (SROC) is the principal advisory committee of the Student Recreation Complex at the California State University, Stanislaus (CSUS).
What is SROC?
The Student Recreation Oversight Committee (SROC) is the principal advisory committee of the Student Recreation Complex at the California State University, Stanislaus (CSUS). SROC has the responsibility to review, evaluate, and provide recommendations on the annual operating budget, space allocation, rent assessments, custodial standards, capital improvements, maintenance and renovation, purchase of equipment, designated use for donations and profits, and hours of operation. The committee consists of 5 students and 3 University members. 1 student member will represent each of the following groups: ASI, SAAC, Res Life, Student Organization, and SRC.

Previous Activities
The Student Recreation Oversight Committee has been involved in a wide range of activities:
Advocated for improvements to recreational facilities and programs, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the student body.
Provided feedback to the Director of the Student Recreation Center to help maintain extended hours during high-demand periods, including exam weeks.
Contributed to the Stanislaus State Recreation and Wellness Departments, offering students practical experience in fitness, recreation, and wellness management right on campus.
Supported outreach events on the quad, promoting recreational opportunities, fitness classes, and intramural sports to increase student involvement.
