Pride, Black Lives Matter and MEChA banners are among those hanging in the Warrior Cross Cultural Center (WCCC), located in Stanislaus State’s recently renovated J. Burton Vasché Library. 

Part of the Women’s Campus Connection mission is to inspire personal and professional development of Stanislaus State women, but its Speaker Series may inspire the entire community when it features Dolores Huerta from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 in the virtual program “Women, Labor and Climate/Environmental Justice.” 

When Stanislaus State’s Class of 2022 gathers for Commencement ceremonies in May, graduates will be wearing sustainable caps and gowns produced entirely in the United States. 

Called GreenWeaver, the sustainable regalia is made from 100-percent post-consumer plastic bottles and shipped in recycled cardboard boxes by the manufacturer, Oak Hall of Virginia.
