If you are planning a survey, we encourage you to check the calendar to avoid potential conflicts with other surveys in an effort to minimize survey fatigue and maximize response rates. The survey calendar is maintained by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Analytics. Please email IR@csustan.edu to have your survey(s) added to the calendar.

Higher Education Statistics

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a system of survey components that collects data from postsecondary education institutions, including enrollment, academic libraries, admissions, degree completions, finances, graduation rates, human resources, institutional characteristics, and student financial aid.

The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a joint effort between the higher education community and publishers to improve the quality and consistency of data reported by colleges and universities. The information provided by the CDS includes general information, enrollment and persistence, admissions, academic offering and policies, student life, annual expenses, financial aid, instructional faculty, class size, and degrees conferred.

Qualtrics is an online survey tool at Stanislaus State developed by Qualtrics Labs, Inc. and is available to support research, teaching, and administration. Qualtrics combines exceptional ease of use with an advanced set of features and is designed to permit the creation of survey instruments, distribution of surveys, data storage and analysis.
