California State University, Stanislaus will celebrate its first Founders Week celebration Sept. 14-18. The week will include concerts, food booths, entertainment, a family fun zone, merchant fair, campus tours and more to cap three years of celebrating the University’s 1957 founding and 1960 opening.

The 2010 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships have been awarded to Cal State Stanislaus for the second year in a row, conference commissioner Robert J. Hiegert announced on Thursday.

The eight-team event will be contested November 5-7 at two-year old Warrior Stadium on the campus of Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock. The championship format calls for two men’s and women’s semifinal games to be played on Friday, Nov. 5 with the championship contests slated for Sunday, Nov. 7.

After completing a review of the CSU Stanislaus Foundation’s records, the Office of the Attorney General confirmed that “no charitable assets have been diverted to improper uses”. The review also concluded that the Foundation Board needs to strengthen internal controls to assure greater fiscal oversight of Foundation assets.
California State University, Stanislaus has added more than 60 courses and class sections in a variety of fields to its fall schedule with the help of $1.1 million in federal stimulus funds.
