Students at California State University, Stanislaus will reach out to youngsters both on and off campus this Saturday as participants in local Halloween festivities.
 
Youngsters who visit the 16th Annual Housing and Residential Life Halloween Gala at California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday, October 31 will receive a free book along with their tricks and treats and visits to the Haunted House and carnival.
The California State University, StanislausCollege of the Arts, Department of Art, will feature an exhibition of the work of Julia Couzens entitled Maidment from Monday, November 2 through December 18, in the University Art Gallery. The Gallery is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m., Thursday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday noon to 4 p.m.

Dr. Ham Shirvani, President of California State University, Stanislaus, announced today that the University will be discontinuing its Winter Term beginning with the 2010-2011 academic year. Winter Term will be replaced with a self-support inter-session.
Thirteen students who were among the top academic achievers at their respective high schools have been selected as 2009-10 recipients of the Presidential and Provost Scholarships at California State University, Stanislaus.

Students who want to attend California State University, Stanislaus as first-time freshmen starting in fall 2010 are advised to apply no later than the Monday, November 30 deadline.
 
Since application deadlines have been moved up from last year’s early date as part of a CSU system-wide plan to reduce student enrollment in order to bring the University in line with limited state funding, CSU Stanislaus officials are advising prospective new students to get their applications in as soon as possible.
