The Center for Disease Control has reported that human cases of swine influenza A (H1N1) virus infection have been identified in the United States and internationally. There have been no reported cases on campus or in the local community at this time.

University officials are monitoring the situation closely and will send updates out to the campus community as necessary.  In the meantime, please take necessary precautions to avoid contacting or spreading the virus, which typically presents itself with regular flu-like symptoms.  To avoid the spread of flu:

A panel of student and faculty panelists will discuss “Obama at 100 Days” on Wednesday, April 29 as part of a Campus Dialogue series at California State University, Stanislaus.
 
Free and open to the public, the program featuring three student panelists and three faculty members is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. in the Carol Burke Lounge of the University Union Building.
TV show stars Michael Boatman of “Spin City” fame and “The Real World: Sydney” reality show headliner Parisa Montazaran will speak at California State University, Stanislaus during separate programs on Monday, April 27 and Thursday, April 30.
 
Sponsored by the University Student Union, the events are free and open to the public. Boatman will talk in the Main Stage Theatre of the Drama Building on April 27 about life in the entertainment field, and Parisa will address cultural stereotypes and life as a Muslim after 9/11 in the Event Center on April 30.
