California State University, Stanislaus will once again bring together a group of the area’s young students and teachers with 32 experts from the field of science this Monday, March 9. The "Dinner With A Scientist" program will focus on science careers and scientific topics. Activities start with tours of the University science facilities and scientific demonstrations, including chemistry magic shows, from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the Naraghi Hall of Science. Scientists, students, and teachers will then join each other for dinner in the University Union Event Center.
A power outage in the Science I Building on the California State University, Stanislaus campus in Turlock resulted in 18 classes being moved to other buildings on Thursday, February 26.

Repairs were made and the University restored power on Friday, February 27.

Monday, March 23 is the application deadline for summer admission to the California State University, Stanislaus Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership degree program that made its debut last fall.

Under the direction of Dr. Steven K. Lee, Founding Director, the program is designed for educators interested in earning a doctorate to advance their careers in education. An information session on the program is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 118 of Demergasso-Bava Hall.
Members of the California State University, Stanislaus Math Club will hold “Tutoring Night” sessions in March, April, and May.

Upcoming Thursday night programs, scheduled from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the University Union Event Center, are scheduled for March 15 and 19, April 2 and 23, and May 7. The final session is scheduled for Monday, May 18 in the University Union Carol Burke Lounge.
California State University, Stanislaus will launch a new accelerated Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice program on Tuesday, February 24 at the Modesto Police Department. The program is designed to meet the needs of both those working in law enforcement as well as people pursuing a career in the field.

Offered through the CSU Stanislaus Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences in cooperation with University Extended Education, the degree program is open to all pursuing a career in the criminal justice field.
