In line with predictions made in previous San Joaquin Valley Business Forecasts, total employment growth in the San Joaquin Valley, following years of gradual expansion, appears to be hovering near peak levels. That represents a slowdown in growth that began in 2016 and continued into 2018. While a decline in total employment is not likely to begin soon, there is evidence pointing to this slowdown in almost all categories of employment.

Stanislaus State has received a $161,000 grant from the Central California Alliance for Health, which it will use to purchase six human simulators for realistic and scenario-based training for students in its family nurse practitioner master’s program.

The College of Business Administration at Stanislaus State was notified today that its accreditation from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has been extended for another five years.

AACSB accreditation is a distinction awarded to fewer than 5 percent of business schools worldwide and about one-third of U.S. postsecondary business programs. It represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide and is the hallmark of excellence in management and business administration education.

The success of Stan State’s mission to propel the region through affordable education continues to be noticed on a national level, with Forbes magazine moving the University up to No. 101 on its list of America’s Best Value Colleges.
