Cleaning Task Frequencies

The following is the minimum that is accomplished daily in public and student-populated areas:

• Daily waste removal in kitchen areas and break rooms.

• Complete cleaning and sanitation of restrooms

• Floor care, including dust mopping, damp mopping and /or vacuuming.

• Paper and soap products in restrooms

• Office areas - The following can be expected to be accomplished in office areas:

  • Weekly waste removal

  • Floors swept on a regular basis.

The following is accomplished annually (primarily in the summer months) by in-house staff in public, office, and student-populated areas:

• Carpet cleaning

• Hard surface refinishing

• Detail cleaning of spaces

Any services mentioned above needed outside the summer month will incur a charge to the requesting department.

The following is accomplished annually or bi-annually (in the summer months) by a selected vendor:

• Hard Wood Surface Refinishing

  • Completed at the Fitzpatrick Arena gymnasium.

• Exterior Window cleaning

  • Selected buildings are rotated bi-annually.
