Maintenance

The Maintenance division's responsibility is to maintain general working order and upkeep within all of the University buildings and infrastructure, as outlined in Executive Order 847. Auto Shop Our crew provides mechanical repairs and maintenance for gas, diesel, and electric power State-owned vehicles. A key function of the Auto Shop is to provide the State-mandated preventive maintenance on all State-owned vehicles, carts, and equipment.

Building Maintenance Our crew is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing University buildings and facilities. This includes preventive maintenance , fire extinguisher compliance checks and remedial upkeep of all building components, with the exclusion of custodial and grounds maintenance.

Electrical The electricians are responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability and code compliance of the entire power distribution system including interior and exterior light fixtures, outlets, and fire alarm systems.

Locksmith The University's Lock Shop is responsible for all mechanical and electronic access systems, ensuring all campus locks work properly, all keys are distributed, and access granted to the appropriate personnel. The Lock Shop also maintains door hardware and automatic door openers.

Painting The University's Paint Shop is responsible for painting the walls, doors, and trim both interior and exterior throughout the campus. The Paint Shop also paints all fences, parking lots, and roadway markings on campus.
