GALAX E: Guiding Alumni and First-Gen in Mentoring and Science Excellence

The College of Science (COS) has developed the Guiding ALumni And first-gen in mentoring and science eXcEllence (GALAX-E) program to provide additional support through mentoring and community building for our first-generation second year COS students as they continue to adjust to the college environment.

Each cohort member will be paired with an alumni mentor, building a community of support through workshops and check-in sessions during the 2024-2025 school year.

    • Develop skills and confidence that will serve you well beyond your university years.
  • Expand Your Network
    • Build a network of supportive peers and professionals who can assist you in your academic and career endeavors.
  • Earn a Stipend for Participation
    • Complete the program to receive a certificate of completion and a $200 stipend.
