Who Are We?
The College of Science (COS) has developed the Guiding ALumni And first-gen in mentoring and science eXcEllence (GALAX-E) program to provide additional support through mentoring and community building for our first-generation second year COS students as they continue to adjust to the college environment.
Each cohort member will be paired with an alumni mentor, building a community of support through workshops and check-in sessions during the 2024-2025 school year.

- Alumni can gain experience in leadership and communication by helping students reach their goals.
- Earn a Stipend for Participation
- Complete the program to receive a certificate of completion and a $250 stipend.
