STEM CRU Activities
Online Excel Workshop Series:
Students will be able to use campus resources like LinkedIn Learning (LIL) to learn about the fundamental principles of Excel through its applications of data processing, formatting, filtering, and sorting, and much more. Upon completion of the series the students earn a certificate of completion from ASPIRE and are also able to add it to their resumes/CV.

STEM CRU Monthly Intern Meetings:
To inform our interns and faculty about upcoming events, field trips, workshops, and summer / career opportunities, we host monthly meetings on campus and we will invite our ASPIRE members / guests to join us. Aspiring STEM CRU students are always welcome to join us after applying on the website and standing eligibility is confirmed. Upcoming guests in spring will be River Partners, Bay Valley Tech, City of Turlock, and TID Information Technology Dept. so far
Hackathon
An intensive 36-hour coding competition that challenges participants to work in teams, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation as they developed tech-based solutions, such as apps, websites, or other digital tools. No prior coding experience required to participate. Checkout our sponsors from the previous hackathon below and navigate to StanHacks to learn more.

SLAM
The STEM CRU interns will be creating one slide to present their knowledge and practical applications in the real world on any recent article of their choosing. The audience will get to vote on their favorite impactful SLAM presentations.

STEM CRU Field Trips
Our students, who are interns in STEM CRU, are invited to attend and participate each semester in our field trips to academic institutions like local museums. The staff and faculty from ASPIRE join the students on such trips as our past visits to the CA Academy of Sciences (SF), the Exploratorium (SF), the Tech Museum (SJ), the Computer History Museum (Mountain View), the Aerospace Museum (Sac), and the Chabot Space Museum (Oakland). The field trips are a nice getaway from the Central Valley and provide ample opportunities for students to laugh together and get to know one another, from mutual experiences.
