STEM Peer Assisted Learning for Students (STEM PALS) provides student-centered programming to engage incoming freshmen in STEM experiences designed to facilitate discipline immersion, enhance self-efficacy, and improve academic success during the critical first year on campus.
Some of the benefits of applying to STEM PALS are the following:
- 1:1 peer mentoring for freshmen
- tutoring program for all levels (see flyers in the Commons N-124)
- workshops for student information & mental health breaks
- access to knowledge about the many campus resources for new students

Zahra Ghausi
Hi! Welcome, my name is Zahra I am majoring in Computer Science and currently doing an internship. I am a second year student at Stanislaus State. I am also part of STEM CRU, STEM Ambassador, and Peer Mentor. Some of my hobbies are watching Kdrama, drawing, painting, hanging out with friends and being on social media. I have been in the USA for 10 years. I'm the second child in my family and I have a golden fish.

Hello! I am a sophomore majoring in computer science. I have been a part of STEM PALS since I entered college, and it has helped me meet many new people. I look forward to helping guide students through their time in college!
