Credential Application Procedures Following Completion 

Candidates must successfully complete all required credential coursework, all the cycles of the California Administrator Performance Assessment, and have 5 years of experience as a teaching or counseling in a school setting.

Applying for Recommendation:

Before you begin the application process, please read the Instructions for Credential Recommendation.

  1. Complete the Credential Application PLEASE DO NOT MAIL THIS APPLICATION DIRECTLY TO CCTC.

  2. Verification of Experience

    • Verification of Experience must be on the district or employing agency letterhead and signed by the superintendent, assistant superintendent, director of personnel, or director of human resources. School or district personnel other than the applicant must verify all experience. Letter must be submitted with original signatures. Please do not use the letter of recommendation for the program and instead request a new letter verifying your employment experience.

Please note: The certificate of eligibility acts as a placeholder until you receive a formal job offer

*If you receive a formal job offer, you will need to select Preliminary Administrative Services on the Credential Application and also submit a Verification of Employment form.

Notes:

All applications must be submitted through the application link, UNLESS you do not have access to your Stan State email.
Contact Credential Services if you do not have a Stan State email. 

If you do not anticipate accepting or applying for an administrative position in the near future, you should apply for a "Certificate of Eligibility" instead of the actual credential document. The "Certificate" verifies that you are academically qualified for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and carries NO expiration date. When you accept employment as an administrator, simply apply for the 5-year Preliminary Administrative Services Credential through the Stanislaus State Credentials Office.
