Associate Professor Mary Roaf is turning her Fulbright-Hays fellowship to South Africa into a new approach to teaching, as well as supplementing the content of her courses.

What Is the Medical Anthropology Minor?

The medical anthropology minor provides a pathway to concentrate medical and biological anthropology courses into a cohesive set of curricula focused on health, illness, and well-being. Students will take introductory level courses in biological and medical anthropology and their own selection of upper-division anthropology courses including global health, medical anthropology, human evolution, forensic anthropology, and ethnomedicine.

The goal of the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) is to support a work environment in which violent or potentially violent situations are effectively addressed with a focus on prevention by increasing employee understanding of the nature of workplace violence, how to respond to it, and how to prevent it. Success in the protection of our employees requires your personal attention and, as necessary, appropriate action.

Conversations with Authors and Artists (CAA) is a recurring event: twice a semester. Our first two events were in Spring 2023. The series format is for Professor Jesse Wolfe (English Dept) to interview two faculty about a book they have written or other comparable scholarly or creative achievement. Interviews are 90 minutes long, including Q & A.

Food and refreshments are provided, and the event is publicized to the campus community. This event's interviewees are Professors Abu Mboka and Augustine Avwunudiogba.
