Stanislaus State students and faculty members recently explored sustainable farming practices in France during an eight-day visit to the country. The Office of International Education and Global Engagement was instrumental in securing funding for the trip, with the support of Jennifer Helzer in her former role as interim director of international education.

Performance evaluations are an important tool that encourages continuous dialogue between the supervisor and employee. Employees’ collective bargaining agreements and Stanislaus State HR policies determine the schedule/frequency of performance evaluations.

The Human Resources, Equal Opportunity & Compliance (HREOC) office encourages cooperative and productive relationships with various unions on campus. The Employee & Labor Relations program includes providing leadership and support for collective bargaining, administering and supporting the implementation of negotiated contracts, processing grievances, interpreting labor agreements, and providing professional development for supervisors.

Stanislaus State’s Employee & Labor Relations team works to identify and resolve workplace concerns and issues expeditiously and per University policy and state and federal law. The Office of Human Resources, Equal Opportunity & Compliance (HREOC) encourages all employees to present such issues to their managers or to the HREOC department if the matter cannot be resolved at the lowest level.
