A Dedication Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 18 at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate a special garden project at California State University, Stanislaus. The University's Hunger Network Club has revitalized the "Harvest for the Hungry Garden," which donates produce to feed the hungry. The newly redesigned garden in the BioAg area next to the Science Building has been lovingly prepared by students, faculty and staff, and has now been made handicap accessible.
The California State University, Stanislaus Police Department is preparing to launch the state's annual "Click It or Ticket" seat belt enforcement campaign, with law enforcement from throughout California stepping up enforcement of the state's occupant protection laws during the three week mobilization, May 14-June 3, 2007. This special enforcement period is part of the state's annual effort to increase seat belt use through a combination of heavy enforcement, advertising and public awareness campaigns.
Sebastian Paul Musco, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Gemini Industries, Inc. who has shared his remarkable business success with prestigious business, community, and charitable organizations, will receive an Honorary Degree of the Doctor of Humane Letters during a special ceremony at California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday, May 12 at 4 p.m. in Snider Hall.

The Department of Music is pleased to host three nationally recognized composers D.J. Sparr, Joel Puckett, and Jonathan Pieslak for a two day residency that will include meetings and rehearsals with students, as well as a lecture and concert featuring the visiting composers.
California State University, Stanislaus students Kevin Bull and John Bultena, who elaborated on their favorite series of books, claimed the cash prizes in the 2007 Warrior Book Collection Contest.

Kevin Bull, a Business Management major from Scotts Valley near Santa Cruz, won the $300 first prize for his entry titled "Honor and Glory: The Warrior State of Mind." The second place award of $200 went to John Bultena, an interdisciplinary Studies graduate student from Merced for his submission titled "Over Three Decades of Adventures: A Dungeons and Dragons Collection."
The Office of Service Learning at California State University, Stanislaus is partnering with Basketball Coach Keith Larsen and his basketball student athletes to co-sponsor a sports fitness clinic for 3 to 5-year-old students and their parents enrolled in the Turlock Head Start program.
