The 24th Annual New Music Festival will be presented Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in the Bernell and Flora Snider Music Recital Hall. The festival features two different concerts of original student works,
The 5:00 p.m. concert will feature original musical compositions by students currently enrolled in the fourth semester course in music theory, Twentieth Century Techniques. These works have been written, rehearsed and prepared for public performance by each student in the class and represent a wide variety of compositional styles and original ideas in various combinations of vocal and instrumental performers.
At 7:30 p.m. works by music composition majors will include electronic music with video projections, as well as music for string quartet, violin and piano, clarinet and piano, chamber choir, and cello trio.
Please join us for a unique musical experience. Both concerts are open to the public.
There is free admission to the 5:00 concert.
The 7:30 concert is $10 General Admission, $8 students, seniors, CSU faculty and staff.

Proceeds benefit the Department of Music Scholarship Fund.
