California State University, Stanislaus provides professional training and artistic development in music. The Department of Music offers the Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in choral and instrumental music education, performance, composition, and jazz studies, and the Bachelor of Arts in Music (B.A) in general music and music technology, as well as a Liberal Studies Concentration in Music. The diverse curriculum also accommodates students who are pursuing other fields of study and choose music as an elective.
The faculty are highly accomplished professional performers, conductors, composers, and educators who are active regionally, nationally, and internationally. They work closely with students to provide the broadest range of support to ensure academic and artistic success.
Entrance and scholarship auditions are held several times throughout the year for entering freshmen and transfer students. An entrance audition is required of all entering music students
Entrance and scholarship audition dates for the 2014-2015 academic year will be held in room M39 on the following dates:
- Saturday January 18, 2014 from 9:00am-3:00pm.
- Saturday February 15, 2014 from 9:00am-3:00pm.
Music scholarship eligibility of students that have completed the Universitys application process will be determined after the application closing date.
