Miocar
- Non-profit, electric vehicle car sharing service in San Joaquin Valley
- Available to anyone over 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, relatively clean driving record and a valid credit, debit or bank card
- Members have 24/7 access to a network of electric vehicles in communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley (SJV)
- Members may rent vehicles for $4 per hour or $35 per day
Míocar was developed by mobility researchers at UC Davis “in partnership with eight SJV Metropolitan Planning Organizations and the California Department of Transportation” to improve mobility and alternative transportation access in rural disadvantaged communities in SJV, where transit services are often infrequent and hard to access.[1]

Zipcar
- Anyone with a valid driving license may apply for Zipcar membership
- Members can reserve Zipcars with the mobile app or online through the Zipcar website at any time up to a year in advance
- Zipcars can be reserved by the hour or by the day
- Memberships start at $7 a month or $70 a year
- Gas, insurance options, and 180 miles per day are all included in membership
According to Zipcar's website, 77% of Zipcar vehicles are low-emission, and after joining Zipcar, members drive 40% fewer miles than they did previously.
