About EOP
This Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is designed to minimize the impact of emergencies or disasters on the University by prioritizing life safety, protecting property, and preserving the environment. It establishes the emergency response structure, defines roles and responsibilities, outlines policies and procedures, and ensures coordinated efforts among emergency personnel and support services. The plan integrates the California Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) to align with state and federal emergency protocols. The Incident Command System (ICS) will be used for on-scene emergency management and in the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to ensure a structured and efficient response. The primary objective of this plan is to unify and coordinate University personnel, resources, and facilities into an effective emergency response organization capable of managing any crisis. As an extension of local and state emergency operations plans, this EOP provides essential support to community-wide emergency efforts.
