Post-Commencement Celebrations
After each Commencement ceremony, all graduates and their guests are invited to join University Student Center and Alumni Relations in the quad for refreshments, music, photo opportunities and more! Celebrate your achievement with family, friends, and loved ones in a joyful, relaxed setting.

Eligibility
The Class of 2026 Commencement ceremonies will recognize students graduating in the fall 2025, winter 2026, spring 2026 and summer 2026 terms. To participate, students must be from an eligible term, must have applied for graduation by the deadline, and be registered to participate in their assigned ceremony.
Graduates eligible for an academic honor cord will receive an email with instructions on pick up. Graduates are eligible when both their cumulative grade point average (GPA) and Stanislaus State GPA meet the following:
Cum Laude, 3.40-3.59

Graduating with Honor; Awarded gold and red cords.
Magna Cum Laude, 3.60-3.79
-
Graduating with Great Honor; Awarded gold and silver cords.
Summa Cum Laude, 3.80 and +

Graduating with the Highest Honor; Awarded gold cords.

Graduate Students - Unbutton the hood and carry it over your left arm.
Credential Students - Carry the credential cord over your left arm.
Honor cord distribution takes place Wednesday, March 12 through Friday, May 16. Commencement registration was required. All graduates and guests attending Commencement must wear a wristband for entry to the Amphitheater.

This in-person session will provide a general overview of what to expect at Commencement, includes a walkthrough of the Amphitheater, seating and explanation of the student procession line up.

To maximize enjoyment of the ceremonies, the following is prohibited:

Alcohol, drugs, tobacco, weapons, large ice chests, pets, Frisbees, beach balls and umbrellas
* The University reserves the right to confiscate and remove any item(s) it considers to be disruptive from the ceremonies.

All ceremonies will be livestreamed on campus and made available for livestream at the convenience of your home via YouTube.

ASL interpreting will be available on the Commencement main stage and the YouTube livestream.

Captioning will be available on the YouTube livestream and via Captioned Text.

ADA seating will be available -- ADA seating in the Amphitheater will require a wristband and will be available on a first-come first-served basis.

Shuttle service will be available for guests who require mobility from designated parking areas to the amphitheater entrance.
