New this year, Warrior Expo will feature Feria de Educación, an expanded bilingual experience designed to bring families, educators and community members together with Stan State. Attendees can explore educational pathways, connect with trusted resources and celebrate a college-going culture for students of all ages.

Join Stan State, Univision, PIQE and community partners for the official opening of Warrior Expo featuring Feria de Educación. This special kickoff celebrates educational opportunity, family engagement and the community coming together to support student success.

 

Time: 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM  | Location: Campus Quad 

Explore Stan State’s academic colleges and departments in the Quad. Meet faculty and staff, learn about majors and programs, and discover academic resources and opportunities to help you plan your future as a Warrior.

Participating colleges and departments will be announced closer to the event.

Campus Tours Depart from the front of the Vasché Library every half hour from 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Future Warrior Booths Stop by one of the booths in the Quad.  Visitors can stop by for information and a chance to win a fun prize.
Admissions Information Table Have questions about your admission or enrollment next steps? Visit our team in front of the Vasché Library for one-on-one guidance and help connecting with the right campus resource.
Undergraduate Advising Connect with an advisor to create a clear path toward your degree! Undergraduate Advising helps current students choose the right classes, explore academic options, and stay on track for graduation. Find us in front of the Vasché Library.

Role of Parent: Parent Panel

An engaging workshop that highlights the organization’s history, legacy, and transformative impact on families, students, schools, and communities throughout California. Families will learn how PIQE has worked alongside schools and communities to strengthen family engagement, increase educational awareness, and help students and parents navigate the pathway to higher education. 

The workshop will feature real stories and experiences from parents, students, educators, school partners, and experts from Stanislaus State. Through a panel discussion, participants will hear firsthand accounts of how PIQE has helped families build confidence, strengthen their connection with schools, understand the college-going process, and take meaningful steps toward higher education.

College Success Without Borders: Resources for Undocumented Students and Their Families

Choosing a university can be challenging, especially for undocumented students and families with mixed immigration statuses who are learning how the college process works. This workshop will help future students and their families learn about the resources, support services and opportunities available at Stanislaus State.

Participants will also hear directly from current Stan State students, who will share their experiences, challenges they have faced and advice for future students and their families. The workshop will also cover the admissions process, financial aid options, Monarch Scholar Services and other resources available to support undocumented students from enrollment through graduation.

How Can I Support My Student in College?This session is designed for parents of prospective college students. It will cover college in general, the experiences students can expect and, most importantly, the role parents play throughout their educational journey.

First-Gen Strong:  Roots, Dreams, and Possibilities

What does it mean to be a first-generation student? Join a panel of first-generation faculty and staff as they share their educational journeys, the challenges they overcame, and the people who helped them succeed. Students and families will gain insight into the first-generation experience, learn how to build support networks, and discover that they are not alone on the path to college and career success. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear real stories from professionals who once stood where they are today.

Being a first-generation student presents unique challenges, but it also comes with great strengths. Through inspiring stories, faculty and staff will share the experiences, lessons and support that helped them achieve success.

Students and their families will leave with practical advice, motivation and the confidence to know that higher education is for them and that they belong in the university community. Every step they take today opens new opportunities for tomorrow. They belong in college, and yes, they can do it.

It’s a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to explore campus, discover academic programs, connect with admissions and financial aid, and experience Warrior life. Current students, educators, alumni, friends and community members are also welcome to enjoy the activities and celebrate the Stan State community.

Warrior Expo featuring Feria de Educación is free to attend, and parking is free.
