The steps outlined here are to ensure your successful transition as a future warrior. Many of the following items will be shown in your student center “To Do” list at myStanState and as a courtesy, we will send e-mail reminders.
Printer-friendly Fall 2021 Freshman Checklist
1. Accept & Pay Enrollment Deposit
We know you have a lot of choices – we’re honored you’ve chosen to become a warrior! Visit your student center at myStanState to accept your admission offer. A $100 deposit is required to secure your place at Stanislaus State. The non-refundable deposit will be deducted from the balance owed at enrollment. If you are unable to submit a deposit, you may submit our fee waiver form to request your enrollment deposit be waived. Find more information on our Enrollment Deposit FAQ page.
Beginning February 1, you will be able to do this through the Becoming a Warrior link under your "To Do" list (see Becoming a Warrior Guide). “Becoming a Warrior” is a helpful tool that will show you everything you need to do to ensure a smooth transition to Stanislaus State, all in one convenient place.
Note: If you have never logged in to your myStanState student center, the Becoming a Warrior link will become available 24 hours after your first log in.
2. Register for New Student Orientation (NSO)
New Student Orientation is a mandatory requirement for all incoming freshmen. At NSO you will meet our exceptional faculty and staff who will assist you with academic advising and course registration. You may complete your NSO registration and payment of the $75 fee through myStanState. Check NSO's website for dates and more information.
3. Participate in Early Start Program
Incoming students who need skills development in English or mathematics/quantitative reasoning will be required to enroll in summer courses through the Early Start Program. Participation will be determined by CSU placement policy. Learn more at the Early Start Program website.
4. Housing?
If you are interested in applying for on campus housing, visit the Housing & Residential Life website. Reserve your spot early!
5. Submit Final Transcripts
To verify your final eligibility, you need to submit final official transcripts listing all final grades and the date of high school graduation. Official transcripts MUST BE in their sealed envelopes from the source. Opened transcripts or transcripts in personal envelopes will be considered "unofficial." Schools subscribing to Parchment may submit transcripts electronically. Transcripts must be postmarked by July 15.
